Swimmer Places At State Meet A 14-year-old freshman helped Federation's Avenues presents Hanukkah: The Adult Version Radicalism, Rebellion and Ruach Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood School to a fifth place finish Nov. 17 at the Class B-C-D state high school swimming and div- ing championships at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. Rebecca Nyquist of Bloomfield Rebecca Nyquist Township placed in two individual events: eighth in the 100 butterfly (1:02.55), and sixth in the 100 backstroke (1:01.19). She also swam on two Cranbrook- Kingswood relays: the 200-yard medley finished fourth in 1:54.84; and the 400 freestyle relay took sixth place in 3:43.23.
