Four-legged visitors brighten the day for Danto patients.

T

he Pet-A-Pet Club has hundreds of volun-
teers
teers with dogs and cats who visit Detroit
nursing homes on a monthly basis.
The hour-long visits delight residents
and the visitors. If you have a well-behaved animal
who would enjoy visiting the elderly, call the Pet-A-Pet
coordinators listed below:

West Bloomfield
• Danto Family Health Care Center, 10 a.m. first
Wednesday of each month, coordinator Louise

• Brown Center, 10 a.m. first Thursday, Sally

• Bloomfield Orchard Villa, 10 a.m. second Thursday,

• West Bloomfield Convalescent Center, 10 a.m. fourth

Farmington
• Courtyard Manor, 10 a.m. third Thursday, Gloria

Southfield
• Elan Village, 1 p.m. second Saturday, Ellen Frank,

Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield is
among the dozens of Detroit area facilities visited by
Pet-A-Pet, but it does not need additional volunteers
at this time. ❑
