Hills. Jamie is blessed to have great-
grandparents Faye and Howard Rice
and Claire and George Carson, all
of Florida. Jamie's Hebrew name,
which means "good heart," is given
in loving memory of her maternal
great-grandparents Leo and Toby
Kaufman.
Jason Scott Aleman will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel on Friday, Nov. 23.

ects were numerous Boy Scout activ-
ities throughout the community; he
found it particularly meaningful
when he volunteered at Yad Ezra in
Oak Park as well as for Kever Avot,
when Temple Israel took senior citi-
zens to visit the gravesites of their
loved ones before Yom Kippur.
