Our [promise:
Fun! Friends!
Peer Pressure Free!
No Drugs & Alchohol!
Memories For A Life Time!
It's a fact. American teens experience more pressures than any
earlier generation in history. Better grades. Broader networks. Busier
calendars. Strive. Achieve. Excel. Kids hardly have a chance to be
kids.
And then there's the social pressures. Pressures from peers, pressures
from the media. Drink and be cool. Have sex and be cool. Do drugs
and be cool.
A mega industry has sprung in its wake- profiting from the pain of our
youth, making millions at the expense of our children.
Spring Break. A mecca of avarice. The pictures are appealing but
they hide the truth. The unspoken lure is abandon to drink, plentiful
drugs, and the promise of sexual conquest. They call it freedom, a
chance to have fun. We call it a crime. Parents fear the truth, but
how can one say no, when everyone else says yes? How can one
refuse when alternatives do not exist?
We have an alternative. A week's vacation- free of drugs, free of
alcohol, free of social pressures. Time on their own, but guided for
safety. A chance to let down and have fun as a kid.
