mer Detroiter of West Palm Beach,
Fla., died Nov. 1. He reached the
rank of technical sergeant during
World War II and received many
honors and distinctions.
Upon his return from Europe, Mr.
Glickman owned and operated a gas
station in Detroit, built and refur-
bished homes, worked as an electri-
cal contractor and as an expert com-
puter builder and repairman during
the 1980s and 1990s. In addition to
his vocations, he was an avid pilot of
small aircraft and was well known
for his "golden hands" with the abil-
ity to fix just about anything.
Mr. Glickman is survived by his
wife of 59 years, Martha of West
Palm Beach; son and daughter-in-
law, Dr. Steven Glickman and
Brenda Glickman of West
Bloomfield; daughter and son-in-
law, Cathy and Jerry Katz of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Scott and
Nicole Glickman of Chicago, Stacy
Glickman of Dallas, Julie Cash of
Berkley, Marcy Cash of Wixom;
brother and sisters-in-law, Jordan

Gilbert of Southfield, Charlotte

Southfield, died Oct. 31.
She is survived by her family,

Parker, Cynthia Schwam Shevitz and
Jan Middeldorf. Mrs. Greenhut was
the beloved wife of the late Samuel
S. Greenhut; loving daughter of the
, late Elias and the late Anna Faust.

HELEN HERMAN, 75, former

Detroiter of Las Vegas, Nev., died
Oct. 28. She was a retired bookkeep-
er. Mrs. Herman served as a past
president of B'nai B'rith Women,
was a member of Women's League of
Temple Beth Shalom in Las Vegas
and City of Hope as well as being a
chair of United Synagogue Youth of
Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak
Park. She and her husband were
founding members of Beth Shalom.
Mrs. Herman is survived by her
husband, Irving of Las Vegas; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Sherri and Gary
Snobel; sons and daughters-in-law,
Bruce and Vicki Herman of Las
Vegas, Larry and Diane Herman of
Jerusalem; grandchildren, Gabriele
and Zachary Snobel, Ben and Greg
Herman of Las Vegas, Reuven,
Shoshana and Aaron Herman of
Jerusalem; great-grandson, Austin
Snobel of Las Vegas. She was the
beloved sister of the late Morris
Stein, Robert Stein, Sonne Stein,
Fannie Raphael, Lillian Traub and
Betty Breiman.
