The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit will offer sev-
eral winter travel opportunities for
individuals and families. Many trips
come with special events and meals.
There are several cruise options:
the Western Caribbean, Dec. 16-
23, aboard Costa Line's M.V.
Victoria; Hawaii, Dec. 23-30,
aboard Norwegian Star; glatt-kosher
Jerusalem, Jan. 13-20, aboard
Celebrity's Millennium; Eastern
Caribbean, Feb. 9-16, aboard Royal
Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas.
Trips to Miami Beach, Scottsdale,
Palm Springs and San Diego are
available. These trips include stays
in luxury hotels, many glatt-kosher
meals, touring, entertainment and
travel with a Jewish group from the
community.
For families, there are the Family
Dogsled Adventure in Rapid River
in the Upper Peninsula and the
Winter Wonderland Weekend at
Double J Resort in Rothbury. The
dogsled trip includes one day of
dogsledding, including basic
instruction, and a second day of
snowshoeing, cross-country skiing
or snowmobiling.
The Winter Wonderland
Weekend includes two nights in a
private cabin complete with Jacuzzi,
Shabbat dinner and a Friday night
service, hayride, and Saturday night
Havdalah service.
