If you plan on leaving town or moving, you must change your
address with the post office AND the Detroit Jewish News!
The post office will forward second-class mail (periodicals &
newspapers) for a maximum of 60 days. After those 60 days,
your paper will be held at the post office and destroyed, or it
will be returned to sender without notification of your new
address.

on every bus. Each participant will
join in a pre-mission program.
Mission activities will include float-
ing in the Dead Sea, watching the
sunrise over Masada, rappelling down
mountains, and meeting and travel-
ing with Israeli teens from Detroit's
Partnership 2000 region in the
Central Galilee.

The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, along with
Detroit area congregations, the
Agency for Jewish Education and the
Jewish News, sponsor the Teen
Mission 2002. Robert J. Gordon is
chair of the mission and Cheryl
Schanes associate chair.
The cost of Teen Mission 2002 is
$3,600, which includes a Federation
subsidy. A $100 deposit received by
Dec. 1 will reserve a spot. All pay-
ments can be fully refunded.
NCJW Honors School Seniors
The National Council of Jewish
Women/ Greater Detroit Section will
honor high school seniors through its
Jewish Youth Awards. The program
recognizes students who demonstrate
leadership in both their school and in
the Jewish community.

Now and for the Future?"
To be eligible, applicants must:
• be a high school senior with at least
a 3.0 cumulative grade point average
• have a formal Jewish education (for
example, having become bar/bat
mitzvah, been consecrated, con-
firmed or attended Monday school)
• be actively involved in the Jewish
community
• submit a signed letter of recommen-
dation from a person in authority
All finalists will be honored at an
awards ceremony Sunday, May 7. A
student of exceptional achievement
will receive a monetary award of
$1,000, sponsored by Betty and
Grant Silverfarb.

3300. The deadline for applications is
Jan. 24, 2002.
