Aaron Seth Fisher of West
Bloomfield will be called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah at Adat Shalom
Synagogue on
Saturday, Nov. 3.
Participating in the
ceremony will be
proud parents Gail
and Steven Fisher,
excited brother Brian
and sister Emily.
Also sharing in the
simcha will be
thrilled grandparents
Ellen and Myron Gruskin and
Beverly and Allan Levin. Aaron is
also the grandson . of the late Alvin
Fisher.
Aaron is an honor student at
Detroit Country Day School in
Beverly Hills. He enjoys ice hockey
and biking, playing on his school's
baseball team and attending Camp
Tanuga in Kalkaska. His mitzvah
projects include maintaining the exte-
rior of a Kadima home, preparing
meals and serving dinner to the
homeless at Adat Shalom, spending
time with Kadima residents at a
breakfast function and participating
in the Federation's mitzvah program.

Kimberly Ilene Gaston will become a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 3, at
Temple Israel. She is
the daughter of Robin
and Bruce Gaston
and sister of Lindsey.
Sharing in the simcha
-will be proud grand-
parents Joanne and
Albert Gaston. She is
also the grandchild of
the late Esther and
Leo Silver.
An honor student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
Kimberly likes swimming, playing the
flute, reading, traveling and attending
camp. Among her mitzvah projects, she
volunteered at the Jewish Association for
Residential Care, where she worked with
a 10-year-old girl, helped plant flowers
and assisted at the JARC carnival and
she donated to the Karmanos Cancer
Fund in memory of her grandmother.

Alexandra Kaitlyn Gold will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah during
Havdalah services on Saturday, Nov. 3,
at Temple Israel. She is the daughter of
Jayne and Dr. Lee Gold and sister of

Seth. Joining in the celebration will be
happy grandparents Barbara and
Gerald Gold and
Janice and Robert
Taylor as well as
great-grandmother
Shirley Bockoff.
An honor student
at West Bloomfield's
Abbott Middle
School, Alexandra
enjoys basketball, ten-
nis, snowboarding, piano, movies, trav-
el, the computer and attending Camp
Walden in Cheboygan. She found it
particularly significant to volunteer at
Yad Ezra in Oak Park, sorting food and
making deliveries. She also used
babysitting money to plant trees in
Israel through the Jewish National
Fund.

Kailey Michal Goodman will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Friday, Nov. 2. She is
the daughter of
Maxine and Neil
Goodman and sister
of Ethan and Noah.
Excited grandparents
are Matilda Graff
and Celia Goodman.
She is also the grand-
child of the late
Emanuel Graff and
the late Lawrence Goodman.
A student at Warner Middle School
in Farmington Hills, Kailey has inter-
ests which include softball, dance, ski-
ing, jet skiing, AOL and attending
Camp Tamakwa in Canada. Among
her mitzvah projects, she volunteered at
the Ronald McDonald House in Ann
Arbor and helped when Temple Israel
housed the homeless.

Alexander B. Hoffman will become a
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, Nov. 3. He is the son of Sue
and Jeff Hoffman and
brother of Eric.
Sharing in the simcha
will be grandparents
Pauline and Harry
Schwartz and
Marlene Hoffman as
well as great-grand-
mother Faye Weiner.
He is also the grand-
son of the late Morris Hoffman.
A student at Walled Lake Middle
School, Alex enjoys golf, basketball,
football and soccer. As part of his mitz-
vah projects, he found it particularly
significant to volunteer with Kever
Avot, taking seniors to the cemetery
before Yom Kippur, and helping when
the homeless were housed at Temple
Israel.
