J

odi Weinfeld, recently returned
from the September IsraeiNow
Mission to Israel. Here's what she
had to say:

"I know it sounds cliche, but one person really
can make a difference. While we as individuals
can't stop the fighting or heal the wounded,
we can offer support and comfort, just by being
there . . . it meant so much to them. We were
personally thanked by people in the street, hotel
employees, even the mayors of several cities we
visited. What really affected me was when a shop
owner blew the shofar to celebrate our purchases."
