stack of colored paper, a
few rolls of tape and the
helping hands of some car-
ing adults — that's all it
took for kindergartners at Temple
Emanu-El to form the longest Sukkot
paper-chain decoration they'd ever
seen.
It all took place Oct. 1 in Beth
Isaacs' academic kindergarten class-
room.
The helping hands were provided by
senior citizens who live at the Harriett
and Ben Teitel Jewish Apartments,
located just a few steps west of Emanu-
El in Oak Park.
Once the chains were finished, the
intergenerational artists draped them
over Teitel's sukkah. ❑
