Adams. He is a noted writer, lecturer, and teacher of photography and the
author of two highly successful photography books. Monte is a member of the
esteemed Camera Craftsman of America and a recipient of the prestigious
Artist in Residence Award from the Farmington Area Arts Commission.

Dialogue Set

The Ecumenical Institute for Jewish-
Christian Studies will present its first
Dove Dialogue at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 25,
at Christ Church
Cranbrook,
Bloomfield Hills.
The program is
co-sponsored by
the Archdiocese of
Detroit and the
Anti-Defamation
League/Michigan
Rabbi Schwartz
Region.
Participants
include the Most Rev. Leonard Blair
and Rabbi Dannel Schwartz, both
honored by the Southfield-based insti-
tute this past spring.
The Rev. Edward Mullins, rector of
Christ Church
Cranbrook, will
serve as modera-
tor. The topic of
the dialogue, "Is
Life Fair?" is in
light of recent ter-
rorist attacks on
America.

Shalom and treasurer of the North
American Board of Rabbis. Rev. Blair
is auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese

Jaap Polak and his wife Ina Soep will
speak 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at the
Michigan League, on the campus of the
University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Polak, knighted by the Queen of the
Netherlands for his commitment to the
Anne Frank Center there and in New
York City, will join his wife in relating
their experiences and correspondence
during World War II while they were
imprisoned in three concentration
camps. Their letters are the subject of a
recent book, Steal A Pencil For Me.
The free lecture will be followed by a
reception.
