She is the daughter

Martin Benson and
grandchild of Julie
and Ervin Theis
and the late Dena and Alex Belinsky.
An honor student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills, Dana loves
singing, tennis, juggling, magic and
acting; and she has been an active
member of Temple Israel's junior
choir for the past five years. Among
her mitzvah projects, she has visited
hospitalized children, participated in
food drives for Yad Ezra in Oak Park
and worked with Jewish Association
for Residential Care residents.

vah projects, she volunteered at a
nursing home, donated clothing and
toys to a family who lost everything
in a fire and contributed to the
Holocaust Memorial Center in West
Bloomfield.

Jonathan Michael Epstein, son of
Robert and Joan Epstein and broth-
er of Meredith and Brandon
Epstein, will be called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct.
20, at Adat Shalom Synagogue.

Country Day
School in Beverly
Hills. After school,
he enjoys playing baseball, basket-
ball, tennis, in-line hockey and
piano. He also enjoys volunteer
work and has helped out on several
occasions at the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit. He also par-
ticipated in a car wash fund-raiser
for the victims of the attack on the
World Trade Center.

Richard Ethan Franklin will be
called to the Torah on Saturday,
Oct. 20, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Ellen and Dr.
Roman Franklin
and brother of Alex,
Daniel and
Michael. Excited
grandparents are
Audrey and Henry
Koloff and Edith
Franklin. He is also the grandson of
the late Ervin Franklin.
Richard is an honor student at
West Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills and enjoys video
games, computers, electronics and
playing the piano. His mitzvah proj-
ect will be *to donate his centerpieces
to the Michigan Humane Society;
he also assisted seniors at the
Federation Apartments in West
Bloomfield.
