Series Explores
Care Of Aged

The first in a three-parr series explor-
ing the care of an aging relative will
be held 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.
17, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek
B'nai Israel.
"Where to Turn for Help:
Resources, Options and Community
Services," will be presented by Linda
Blumberg, director, Commission of
Jewish Eldercare Services, Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit;
and Mindi Silver-Weiss, associate
director, Dorothy and Peter Brown
Jewish Community Adult Day Care
Program, Jewish Home & Aging
Service.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the second
session will be "Don't Wait for a
Crisis: Finding Balance in the Face of
Stress." On Wednesday, Oct. 31, the
third session will be "Nurturing the
Caregiver."
The fee for the series is $10 per per-
son, $15 per couple.
The program is sponsored by the
Applebaum Life and Family Center of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek, Jewish
Federation's Elderlink, Jewish Home
& Aging Services and the LeVine
Institute on Aging.
