New Programs
For Interfaith

The Agency for Jewish Education,
Interfaith Connection, Project
NAOMI, Jewish Family Service and
the Jewish Women's Foundation of
Metropolitan Detroit are sponsoring
Sarah's Tent, beginning this fall.
The new program will take place
monthly in a Huntington Woods
home and will reach out to new
Jews by choice, Jews with limited
Judaic knowledge and non-Jews
from interfaith -families.
Each gathering will be led by a
rabbi or Jewish educator and deal
with Jewish culture, rituals and his-
tory. The second half of each session
will allow participants to network,
discuss issues and form social
groups.
For information, call Elana
Balkin, (248) 645-7860.
• A new Sunday afternoon, bi-
monthly interfaith family program
for children ages 2'/2-13 and their

under 2 1 /2. There is a family materi-
als fee. For information and reserva-
tions call (800) 397-4876 or (248)

• A workshop, "Let's Talk," will be
held on Thursday evenings begin-
ning Oct. 11. It is designed for pre-

in interfaith relationships where one
of the partners is Jewish.
The five-part workshop will
explore individual religions, person-
al identity, communication skills,
resolving interfaith issues, and a
panel discussion with interfaith cou-
ples.
Couples will also have informal
discussions.
