Jewish Meal: An
Anthropological
Excursion to a

Restaurant,"

Professor
Kugelmass will examine the place of
food as a marker of Jei,vish unique-
ness.
At 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23,
Professor Kugelmass will lecture on
"Competing Memories: Auschwitz
as a Jewish and a Polish Text." It
will be held in 3339
Faculty/Administration Building,
656 Reuther Hall, on the Wayne
State University campus in Detroit.
Professor Kugelass is the Irving
and Miriam Lowe Professor of
Holocaust and Modern Jewish
Studies and has served as director of
the Jewish studies program at
Arizona State University since 1998.
Both lectures are free. Reservations
must be made by Thursday, Oct. 18,
by calling the Cohn-Haddow

Fashion Show

The Auxiliary for Jewish Home and
Aging Services will host "Fall Into
Fashion" at its opening meeting noon
Thursday, Oct. 11, at Congregation
Beth Ahm.
Lunch will precede the fashion
show. The gift boutique will be at
11:30 a.m.
The cost is $22 for patrons and $36
