Sala G. Wanetick will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Oct. 6, at
Congregation Beth
Shalom.
Participating in the
services will be Sala's
parents, Marvin and
Jan Wanetick, sisters
Francine and
Natalie and grand-
mothers Ruth
Goldstein and Helen Feldstein. Sala is
the granddaughter of the late Harry
Goldstein, Albert Feldstein and Saul
Wanetick.
Sala is a student at Berkshire
Middle School in Birmingham. She
has many interests, including playing
oboe, going to Tamarack Camps and
participating in her school ski club.
She is also president of the Kadima
youth group at Congregation Beth
Shalom. Sala's mitzvah projects includ-
ed visiting seniors at Coville
Apartments in Southfield, working at
Yad Ezra in Oak Park and volunteer-
ing at Safety Town in Southfield for
the past two years.

Gerald Stanley Weinstein will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel on
Saturday, Oct. 6. He
is the son of Louis
Weinstein and
Nancy Weinstein
and brother of
Brittany. Proud
grandmother is
Beverly Weinstein
and excited great-
grandmother is Rose Plotnick. He is
also the grandson of the late Gerald
Weinstein.
A student at Anderson Middle
School in Berkley, Gerald collects
coins, enjoys soccer, boating and
snowmobiling. Among his mitzvah
projects he volunteered at Yad Ezra in
Oak Park and assisted in the Temple
Israel religious school.

Ethan David Weisman will celebrate
his bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel on
Friday, Oct. 5. He is
the son of Lisa and
Gary Weisman and
brother of Austin.
Excited grandmoth-
er is Dorothy
Weisman. He is also
the grandson of the
late Donald Weisman and the late
Dorothy and Arthur Beckwith.
