Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Kevin Marc Adelman was called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Sept. 29, at Temple Beth El.
He is the son of

Kevin is an eighth-grader at Abbott

He enjoys basketball, the automotive
industry and discussing politics. He
did a variety of things for his mitzvah
project, his favorite being working
with the residents at the Danto
Family Health Care Center in West
Bloomfield. He continues to work as
a teacher's aide for seventh-grade
math at Abbott Middle School.

Carli Michelle Boyer will become a
bat mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek on Saturday,
Oct. 6. She is the
daughter of Debbie

Jodie Michelle Colman will celebrate

Saturday, Oct. 6.

Jodie is an eighth-grade student at
Bloomfield Hills Middle School. She
enjoys soccer and loves to water and
snow-ski. Her most meaningful mitz-
vah projects were packaging food at
Detroit-based Gleaners Food Bank of
Oakland County, collecting hygiene
products for Orchards Children's
Services in Southfield, putting togeth-
er Thanksgiving baskets for the needy
and raising money for the American
Diabetes Association.

bat mitzvah at Temple Israel during
Havdalah services
on Saturday, Oct. 6.
She is the daughter
of Trudy and David

An honor student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
Lauren is interested in acting, singing,
forensics, tennis, waterskiing,
snowskiing and attending Tamarack
Camps and Interlochen. She has also
sung with Temple Israel's junior choir
for the past four years. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering with the Friendship Circle,
working with children with special
needs.
