A student at Berkshire Middle
School in Birmingham, Ethan enjoys
golf, coin collecting, baseball, corn-
puters and summers at Camp Tanuga
in northern Michigan on Lake
Manistee. He found it particularly sig-
nificant to volunteer at the Coalition
of Temporary Shelters and pack food
at Yad Ezra in Oak Park as part of his
mitzvah projects.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Michael Philip Green, son of Rick
and Sheree Green of Orlando, Fla.,
will celebrate his bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 6, at
the Southwest
Orlando Jewish
Congregation.
Michael, formerly
of West Bloomfield,
is the brother of
Lindsay Green. His
proud grandparents
are George and
Edith Gantz of Orlando and Fred and
Helen Green of New Port Richey, Fla.
He is also the grandson of late Lynda
Green.
Michael is a member of the
National Honor Society and an honor
student in the eighth grade at
Hunter's•Creek Middle School. He is
president of his Kadima youth group.
Michael enjoys baseball and hockey
and volunteers for Give Kids the
World, a resort for terminally ill chil-
dren whose one wish is to visit Disney
World.

Alexander Levitt of Atlanta, Ga., will
become a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Oct. 6, at Temple
Emanu-El in
Atlanta. He is the
son of Kathy and
Brian Levitt, former-
ly of Michigan, and
proud grandparents
Bobbie and Chuck
Stone, Rita and
Howard Levitt, also formerly of
Michigan. He is the first grandchild
to become bar mitzvah in both fami-
lies, to be followed by his brother
Greg.
Alex is in the eighth grade at Mill
Spring Academy. He enjoys singing,
playing guitar and Tae Kwon Do.
