sukkah is always fun,
though it can be chal-
lenging."

raining. Or the time he
ended up with one cor-
ner of a sukkah panel
going right through the window of his house. At
least someone was there to share his pane — er,
pain.
"I bribe a friend to come over and help," he
said.
Next comes the decorating, which "always is a
fun-filled activity at the Lichterman home."
Everyone helps, and decorations consist of some
new handmade treasures, some new store-bought
finds, and children's art projects from years gone
by.
"As long as they're not moldy," Mark said, "we
put them up."
The Lichtermans also always make it a point
to invite family friends and the children's class-
mates from Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit for a meal in the sukkah.
And then, it's nothing but joy, Mark said:
"The kids love it."
