At the recent annual dinner of AMERICAN RED MAGEN DAVID
FOR ISRAEL, John J. Mames Chapter-Michigan Region, the hon-
orees, Terry and David Kahan gifted a fully equipped ambulance
to the people of Israel in honor of their children and their grand-
children. According to their wishes, the ambulance will be sta-
tioned in Acco, where their brother resides.
The ARMDI Maimonides Award was presented to Terry and David
Kahan for their great generosity by Judith Grant Granader, Dinner
Chairperson. Judith remarked, "In honoring your family there are
people in Israel today who will owe their future to you because of
your precious lifesaving ambulance.

A Mobile Intensive Cardiac Care Unit was donated to the people
of Israel by Natalie and Manny Charach "in honor of our Dear
Friends, Dr. John 5"; and Eva Mames."
Eva Mames, president of the Michigan Region expressed her
heartfelt gratitude at this warm gesture of friendship. "This tribute
to John and me is especially meaningful because it symbolizes the
Charach's selfless and stalwart support of ARMDI over the past
quarter century." Their outstanding philanthropy was recognized
with the ARMDI Maimonides Award.
