"Our group can be described as acoustic-pop or folk-rock, but that doesn't encompass all that we do," says Schaefer, who has performed around Michigan. "We're high-energy, and there's usually humor." Ming's courses in audio engineer- ing at the University of Miami and FS's experience as a rap artist pro- ducing hip-hop at 16, coupled with his training in jazz piano at the Brooklyn Conservatory, have comple- mented each other nicely. With a world tour being planned, and a growing audience and influ- ence, Ming and FS's junkyard is a busy place.
