A rare look into the private
world of a genius

Now you can see twenty-one drawings by
this remarkable artist, sculptor, poet, and architect at the
Toledo Museum of Art.

Small, intimate, and very personal, Michelangelo features
forty-seven objects from the family home of this
Renaissance giant, including drawings—mainly aid&
sketches and preliminary studies—that range in size from
fewer that six inches to more than three feet. Nine
of these drawings have never before been exhibited in
the United States.

Along with other works in the exhibition, Michelangelo's
drawings pay tribute to his extraordinary talent and
provide a glimpse into the life and work of one of
the greatest minds the world has ever known.
