THE RFMAN HAP EL Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel. C. ROBERT WARTELL, 65, of Bingham Farms, died Sept. 24. He was an attorney and civic leader. A native Detroiter, he was in the first graduating class of Mumford High School in Detroit. He then attended the University of Michigan and its law school. Mr. Wartell practiced law and was, in recent years, appointed by the governor to the State Bar of Law Examiners. He was also a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Michigan Land Title Association, past chair of the Real Property Law Section and held positions on the Board of Tax Review, Southfield Township, Bingham Farms Planning Commission and Village Council. In addition, he served as a member of the board of directors of the Franklin Fire Department. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan Wartell; sons and daughter-in- law, Jeffrey and Kelly Wartell of San Francisco, David Wartell of San Francisco; daughter, Julie Wartell of San Diego, grandchildren, Dempsy, Buddy and Isaiah. Interment was held at the Beth El Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 18505 W. 12 Mile, Southfield, MI 48076 or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by the Dorfman Chapel. IRVING WAXMAN, 94, of Toledo, Ohio, died Sept. 22. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Jerry Soble of Orchard Lake; son, Jerome Waxman of Toledo; grandchildren, Michele (Kal) Klass, Mitchel Soble, Melissa (Howard) Deitch, Marc (Susan) Soble, David (Lisa) Waxman, Marcy (Greg) Kuehnle; nine dear great-grandchildren. He was the beloved husband of the late Goldie Waxman; father-in-law of the late Blossom Waxman. Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
