CREATE A BRIDGE FROM THOSE WHO ARE GONE TO THE LIVING. EVEN THOUGH THE PETAL HAS FALLEN IT SHOULD NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. SO ON THE HOLIEST OF ALL DAYS WE REMEMBER. To A Tin Man Who Was A Better Salesman Than Me, and To A Mother Who Was Always There. Still In Our Hearts D uring the past couple weeks we've had a lot of opportunity to reflect on our country's most recent tragedy. When it was compared to Pearl Harbor I was taken back because I thought this was a greater tragedy, although the Day ofInfamy formally engaged our country at war. Then, some people had the audacity to compare it to the Holocaust. That was obviously ridiculous! Why some people find it necessary to rank or compare befuddles me. When I think of all the tragedies that have befallen Jewish people, and all of mankind I am saddened Who wouldn't be? I remember a bumper sticker after the 1972 Olympics in Munich that said, 'Munich Never Again." As Americans and as Jews the time has come to dig in and be supportive in any manner you can. And on the holiest of all Jewish holidays I hope you remember someone. Whether it is a parent, child, brother, sister or any relative, even a fireman or policeman or an innocent victim of other tragedies we reflect back on. 9/28 2001 117
