SCHWARTZ kickoff event
Sept. 5, to benefit

the 15th annual
West Bloomfield
Community Fame Games. The
"Fashion Games" evening raised funds
for the Fame Games held Sept. 9,
where children and adults with special
needs competed in athletic games.
More than 175 patrons attended
the Neiman Marcus event, where
guests solved fashion puzzles, sipped
wine and dined on hors d'oeuvres.
Jewelry designer Steven Lagos made a
personal appearance and donated five
percent of Lagos jewelry sales to the
Fame Games. He also donated a gem-
stone ring for the raffle.
Chairmen Lori Barron and Marla
Kaftan organized the evening filled
with prizes and surprises. "They did a
phenomenal job," said Mari Kaftan, a
committee member.
These two young women are third
generation family members of
Northwest Child Rescue Women, an
organization dedicated to raise funds
for individuals with special needs.
They also managed to attract a group
of twenty-something supporters to
attend the evening. Some of the
younger Fame Game patrons included
Karen Rosett, Amy Shapiro, Fawn
Chayet, Mark and Lisa Menuck,

Craig and Jill Menuck, Lorne Gold,
Jessica Woll, Don Stewart and
Debbie and Michael Berger.

Fashionable Generations

The State of Israel Bonds Women's
Division hosts "Generations Fashion
Show II," 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at
Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. Tender,
a Birmingham women's clothing bou-
tique and Koochie Koo, a West
Bloomfield children's clothing store
will present the show. Israel Bond

"We are excited to participate in a
wonderful fashion event that benefits
a worthy cause," said Cheryl Daskas,
who co-owns Tender with her sister,
Karen. Audrey Klayman and Amy
Sternberg, owners of Koochie Koo,
will organize all the child models.
Sandra Dembs, Andrea Hurwitz and
Lisa Rotter are directors of the event.
