Club in West Bloomfield will have a
much-experienced new executive chef
to handle the demands by members of
this fine club.
Richard Ormsby, former sous chef
at the Lark, 15 years under Executive
Chef Marcus Haight, and previously
at Le Francais, in Wheeling, Ill., out-
side of Chicago, will take over the
kitchen reigns.
He and Wabeek's present sous chef,
Duane Walkowsky, should make a fine
team.
TWO FORMER restaurant sites on
Orchard Lake Road in West
Bloomfield, Jake's On the Lake and
Pizzeria Uno ... also include a liquor
license with the lease.
RESTAURANT OPENINGS ... A
second Buca di Beppo fun Italian
restaurant in Michigan will open Sept.
30 in Utica ... A third opens after the
first of the year in Birmingham.
OLDIE BUT GOODIE ... from
Larry Raskin in Toledo ... A rabbi was
opening his mail one morning. Taking
a single sheet of paper from an enve-
lope he found written on it only one
