be exciting, challenging
and more than a little
overwhelming. Knowing
where to go and who to call for the
services you need can make the
transition smoother. If you are new to
the Detroit metropolitan area, here are
some resources to help you get started:
CHANGING YOUR ADDRESS:
Obtain a "change of address" form at any
local post office branch to ensure that your
mail gets forwarded to your new location.
Kits with pre-printed postcards are also
available.

VOTER REGISTRATION:
This can be done at any Secretary of State
branch and most local city, village or
township offices.
DRIVER'S LICENSE:
A Michigan driver's license can be
obtained at any Secretary of State branch.
