The Charaches, who live close to the
West Bloomfield gallery, keep a stash
of the work of both their daughter and
son and periodically change the ones
on display. Furnished in black and
white, their home can play up the col-
ors and designs featured in the various
renderings.
As the gallery exhibits change and the
number of visitors grow, Natalie and
Manny Charach look to the future with
the intent of offering new opportunities
to talented Jewish artists and the people
who appreciate those talents. They also
continue to find time for their other
special interests, including the
American Red Magen David for Israel,
JARC, Kadima and Gilda's Club.
Manny Charach envisions a new project.
"We recently took the word 'museum'
out of the name of the gallery because
we didn't [accumulate] permanent dis-
plays," he says. "In my mind, I feel that
Detroit needs a Jewish museum, and
I'm talking to people about that."
