ay Margolis, 84, of West
Bloomfield enjoyed danc-
ing recently with children
at a local beach. Choked
up, she says she had a wonderful
time.
"The children remind me of what's
the best of life," says Margolis, a
grandmother of four and great-
grandmother of six children.
She and nine other seniors from
Fleischman Residence-Blumberg
Plaza in West Bloomfield joined
eight mothers and.15 children for a
day at the beach Aug. 24, at Middle
Straits Lake in West Bloomfield.
Linda Rosberg, 38, of West
Bloomfield and other mothers in the
community invited the seniors, who
are members of the Bubbe, Baby and
Zayde Club (BBZ) at Fleischman.
"The seniors blossomed around the
children," Rosberg says. "And the
kids got to be around people of all
ages and abilities."
Every other Friday, BBZ members
meet with children who come to the
residence and play in the atrium for
an hour, says Myrna Katz, program
director of Jewish Home and Aging
Services in West Bloomfield.
The club welcomes visits from chil-
dren 3 months to preschool age, with
a parent. To participate, call Katz at
(248) 661-2999.
