lead a study session tided "Preparing Our
Hearts for the Days of Awe: Books to
Guide the Journey" This is a free, drop-
in event.
Eilu v'Eilu is also offering a number of
resource materials to help adult learners
prepare for the Days of Awe, including a
list of suggested reading and a tip sheet
for ways to enhance the spiritual experi-
ence of the High Holidays. For a compli-

offered this fall at the Agency for Jewish
Education. Two new classes will open:
Hebrew Text: Torah, Prayer and More
will be in a lunch and learn format and
will focus on text study 11 a.m.-12:30
p.m. Tuesdays.
The second new class will be Hebrew
for beginners, designed for students with
minimal or no knowledge of Hebrew. It
will teach basic reading, conversational
skills and Hebrew skills. Classes are
scheduled for 7:30-9:30 p.m. Mondays.
Also new to the Hebrew program will
be special tutorial classes for individuals
or small groups, tailored to the special
needs of the learners.
Nira Lev, director of Hebrew pro-
grams at AJE, will tech the classes. All
Hebrew classes start Sept. 4 at the Max
M. Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
