Saperstein and Dr. Harvey and
Marilyn Saperstein. Sari is the sister
of Dr. Guy and Gina Saperstein, Dr.
Greg and Dr. Lisa Saperstein, Dr.
Glenn and Sheryl Saperstein, Beth
and Jim Malkovich, Lawrence and
Jessica Miller and Todd and Melissa
Miller. She is the granddaughter of
the late Ida and Samuel Oventhal;
and Anne and Meyer Saperstein.
A Bloomfield Hills West Hills
Middle School honor student, Sari
is interested in tennis, softball, vol-
leyball, dancing, acting, singing,
modeling, arts and babysitting. Her
most meaningful mitzvah project is
volunteering on an ongoing basis at
the Regent Street nursing facility in
West Bloomfield, working with two
special residents.

Chad Mitchell Schwalb will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Friday, Aug. 31,
at Temple Israel. He
is the son of Dr.
Jeffrey and Lauri
Schwalb, brother o f
Cameron and
Chloe. Proud
grandparents are
Ilene and Roland
Schwalb, Flora and
Harold Cherny and
Lynne Gurwin Dobrusin. He is the
great-grandson of Ida Cherny and
the late Sigmund Cherny.
An honor student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills,
Chad plays on the basketball, foot-
ball, track and cross country teams.
He also plays hockey and enjoys
music and computers. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was
dancing with the residents of the
Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield during a Friday night
Shabbat dance. Chad also worked at
a rescue mission. A contribution was
made by Chad to the Detroit-based
Karmanos Cancer Institute in mem-
ory of his great-grandmother Irene
Gurwin.
