She was a beautician who worked until age 89 with clients including the Duchess of Wales, opera stars and Mark Twain's daughter. She was also active with the Children's Asthmatic Research Association, was a volunteer beautician for the Jewish Home for Aged and was a charter mem- ber of Temple Bertha Feinstein Israel.
