She is the daughter of former Detroiters Lisa (Cooke) and Paul Hammond and the sister of Mara. Proud grandparents are Anita Pensler of Napa, Calif., and Pixie and Bob Hammond of Palo Alto, Calif. She is also the grandchild of the late Arnold Cooke and the late Alvin Pensler. Sarah is an honor student at Borel Middle School. She enjoys dance, especially ballet and tap, musical theater and cheerleading.
