He was a phar- macist and the previous owner of Mark Drugs in Southfield. He was also a 1943 graduate of Wayne State University, a B'nai B'rith bowler, a Jewish war veteran and a poet. Mr. Waldman is survived by his daughter, Sheri Waldman of Livonia; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Sarah Waldman; grand- children, MariSsa and Alaina Waldman, Derek, Duane and Justine Waldman; Eugene Waldman brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Norman and Ferah Tarockoff, Leonard and Rosalyn Tarockoff, William and Elsie Tarockoff. For 53 years, he was the beloved hus- band of the late Bernice Waldman; dear brother-in-law of the late Melvin Tarockoff. Interment at Machpelah Cemetery. He was attorney of counsel at Barris, Sort, Denn and Driker. He was also a past president of Friends of Detroit Public Library, and he formerly taught tax law at the University of Detroit Law School. Mr. Weingarden was one of the first chairmen of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund's Professional Advisory Committee.
