She resided most of her life in the Jewish community of Manchester, England, was a member of the Central Shul and the Heaton Park Shul and a member of the Jewish Blind Society in Crumpsall, Manchester. Mrs. Semp migrated to New Zealand several years ago to spend her final years with her family of grandchil- dren and great-grandchildren in Auckland and Napier, New Zealand, and visited Michigan several times with her late husband, attending services at Congregation Beth Shalom where her son, Reverend Sammy Semp is the ritu- al director. Mrs. Semp is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Irving and Sandra Semp of New Zealand, Rev. Sammy and Gilah Semp of Southfield; grandchildren, David Semp and partner Jin, Michael and Rachel Semp, Peninah Semp, Devorah Semp, Ari Moshe Semp; great-grandchildren, Blake, Daniel and Harrison Semp.
