RABBI OSCAR GRONER, 78, of Rockville, Md., died Aug. 11. For many years, Rabbi Groner served B'nai B'rith Hillel Foundations, serv- ing five years as international director. He began his career in Evanston, Ill., with the Hillel at Northwestern University. In 1960, he was appointed to be assistant national director of Hillel in Washington, D.C. At various times he was a board member of the United Jewish Appeal's Rabbinic Cabinet, of Ezras Israel Congregation in Rockville, of the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School and of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
