A New Home

The Jewish Association for Residential
Care \ mill celebrate the dedication of
the Rebecca and Samuel
Greenberg/Joseph Shiffman/Alex Stein
Home in Farmington Hills noon-2
p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12.
The purchase of the home was
made possible by a gift to JARC from
Nathan Greenberg, A.S. Green, the
late Dr. Milton Shiffman, Dr. Ben
Stein, Esther Stein, William Valensky
and the estate of Louis Greenberg. Six
men with developmental disabilities
live in the home.
Rabbi Elliot Pachter of
Congregation B'nai Moshe will offici-
ate the ceremony at I p.m. Jennifer
Werner is the chair of the event,

Alliance for Adoption, a division of
Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan
Detroit, hosts monthly Options for
Adoption educational meetings the
third Thursday of each month. The

questions of singles/couples wishing to
explore domestic and/or international

For ORT Board

Leaders from the Detroit Chapter of
American ORT were elected to the
national board of directors during the
American ORT National Conference
and annual meeting in New York July
19-22. The board members are Paul
Borman, David Gans, Lawrence
Jackier, Gary Ran and Nathan Upfal.
