MAE (MIRI) DATER BARBOUR, 97, formerly of Southfield of California, died May 11. She was born in Russia and moved to Detroit at age '5. She was a bookkeeper. In 1929, she became a natural- ized citizen. Throughout her life she lived in Detroit, Jackson, Lansing, Southfield and in several southern California cities, where she Mae Barbour ned and man- aged hotels and motels with her husband. Mrs. Barbour had a love of learning and reading, especially biographies, and she was devoted to Judaism. She is survived by her sons, Paul of Placentia, Calif., and Michael of \Winters, Calif.; two daughters-in-law; ;ix grandchildren; five great-grandchil- iren.
