MAE (MIRI) DATER BARBOUR,
97, formerly of Southfield of
California, died May 11. She was born
in Russia and moved to Detroit at age
'5. She was a bookkeeper. In 1929, she
became a natural-
ized citizen.
Throughout her
life she lived in
Detroit, Jackson,
Lansing, Southfield
and in several
southern California
cities, where she

aged hotels and
motels with her husband. Mrs.
Barbour had a love of learning and
reading, especially biographies, and she
was devoted to Judaism.
She is survived by her sons, Paul of
Placentia, Calif., and Michael of
\Winters, Calif.; two daughters-in-law;
;ix grandchildren; five great-grandchil-
iren. She was the last of four brothers
tnd three sisters. She was the loving

loomfield, died Aug. 1. She was a

member of Na'amat and the David
Horodoker Society.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Phillip and Iris Bresler
of New York; daughters and son-in-
law, Lenore Freed and Joe Silver of
West Bloomfield, Louise Bresler of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Joni
and Ron Lipson, Beverly Freed, Larry
and Laini Freed, Ben Bresler, Steven
and Geri Bresler; great-grandchildren,
Zachary and Ross Lipson, Joshua,
Danny and Jacob Freed and Javan
Ray Bresler. Mrs. Bresler was the
beloved and adored wife of the late
Raymond Bresler; dear mother-in-
law of the late Jack Freed.

NANCY DORCHEN, 68, of
Southfield, died Aug. 4. She was
involved in the David Horodoker
Society, Detroit Zoological Society,
Detroit Institute of Arts and the
Detroit Symphony. Mrs. Dorchen
was a charter member of the Jacques
Coustou Society and many humane
societies.
She is survived by her husband, Ira
Dorchen; mother, Elizabeth
Sherman; son, Mark Dorchen of
Farmington Hills; daughter, Sherry
Kowalski of Farmington Hills; sister,
Marsha Sherman of Miami, Fla.;
grandchildren, Alex Jacob Dorchen,
