He was the chairman of the board of the Michigan B'nai B'rith Hillel Fund and for 35 years was the owner of N.D. Rubestein Barrel Company. Mr. Rubenstein was a past president and founding member of B'nai B'rith Oakland Century Lodge and was honored as Man of the Year as well as being recognized nationally by Hillel and B'nai B'rith. He was a published author in his late 70s and a freelance writer who graduated from the University of Detroit with a degree in journalism. Mr. Rubenstein is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Kathryn Rubenstein of California; daughter and son- in-law, Susan J.
