Time For A
Makeover?
Before
Dr. Harold Siden, graduate of West
Bloomfield High School and the
University of Michigan Medical
School, has been appointed director of
the Canuck Place Children's Hospice
in Vancouver, the first freestanding
children's hospice in North America.
He is also the director of Telehealth in
Vancouver, which recently received a
$6 million grant from the Canadian
government to develop an outreach
program in British Columbia to bring
medical care to people who live
throughout the province and in
remote areas.
Dr. Julius M. Gardin of Southfield,
division chief of cardiology at St. John
Hospital and Medical Center in
Detroit, has been named one of
America's top
doctors by
Castle Connolly
Medical Ltd.,
the publisher of
a consumer ref-
erence guide. He
was honored
because of his
extensive creden-
tials in clinical
care, research

Dr. Margarita Collins of Southfield, a
physician in private practice since
1989, has been elected to the board of
directors of the Israel Cancer
Association of Michigan to fill a
vacant position.
