Ms. Friedlander earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. She is employed at NetSolve as a senior network engineer. Mr. Safran graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor of arts degree from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pa. He also earned a master of business administration degree from the University of Michigan Business School, with a concentration in industrial engineer- ing through the Tauber Manufacturing Institute. Nicole and Jon met in Austin, Texas, and were engaged at Enchanted Rock National Park in Fredericksburg, Texas.
