July 5. She received a bachelor of
science degree in medical technology
from Ohio State University and was
employed as a medical technologist
at the Cleveland Clinic and at
Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She
later sold real estate in the Lansing
area. Mrs. Ormos was a member of
Lansing's Congregation Shaarey
Zedek and was a past officer of its
sisterhood.
She is survived by her husband,
Dick; daughter, Denise Ormos of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla.; son, Scott Ormos
of Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law,
Ruth and Ted Leeb of Skokie, Ill.
She was the loving mother of the
late Steven Ormos.
Services were at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in East Lansing with
interment at Evergreen Cemetery.

ALVIN RAPPAPORT, 87, of

California, died July 18. He was an
attorney who was a graduate of the
University of Detroit Law School.
He was also a star sprinter in track.
In 1931, Mr. Rappaport was a
member of the Michigan State AAU
championship relay team at Detroit
Central High School. He became a
member of the "Seven Iron Men" at
the University of Detroit in the mid-
1930s and participated in the 1933
Olympics. Mr. Rappaport was twice
selected, once as captain, to repre-
