ener- WISHES TO EXPRESS THEIR HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILIES WE HAVE SERVED DR. HARRY ARTHUR HELLER, 88, of West Bloomfield, died July 12. He was an osteopathic physician and general practitioner who retired eight years ago. For 35 years, Dr. Heller was on staff at Garden City Hospital and in 1981 was honored as physician of the Year. Dr. Heller entered medical school at the age of 36 and graduated at the age of 42 from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also was a graduate of Cass Tech High School, where he took classes in aeronautical engineering. Dr. Heller enlisted in the Army two different times and was among the first to enter Denmark after the war. He was the development director of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and an executive director for the Jewish Community Center in Flint, a member of Temple. Beth El, the Men's Club and he particpated on the bowling team. He also played the violin and the harmonica by ear and was fluent in 14 languages. Dr. Heller is survived by his wife, Virginia Heller; daughters and sons-in- law, Barbara Heller (Weingarten) of Birmingham, Wendy Heller Fogel and Yehuda Fogel, Marcy Heller Fisher and Robert Fisher of Bloomfield Hills, Dr. Vicki Heller and Dr. Lee Cohen of Massachusetts; grandchildren,.Mindy and Scott Eisenberg, Irwin Weingarten and Dr. Lynn Gessner, Ayelet Fogel, Yonaton Fogel, Daniel Fogel, Ari Fogel, Seth Fisher, Benjamin Fisher, Gabriel Fisher, Abigail Fisher, Eliza Cohen; Zoe Cohen; great-grandchil- dren, Julia Eisenberg, Noah Eisenberg, Leah Weingarten and Avi Weingarten; sister, Bertha Bogner of Colorado and sister-in-law, Joanne Lichtenstein Viviano. He was an attorney who graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1941 and was a first lieutenant judge advocate in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War Mr. Klein was the former owner of Wayne Meat Packing Company and retired in 1972. After this retirement, he joined the Wayne Country Prosecutors Office and retired from there in 1990. He was a member of Temple Beth El and formerly active with the Downtown Synagogue and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels Program at the National Council of Jewish Women. Mr. Klein is survived by his daugh- ters and sons-in-law, Susan and Peter Friedman of Farmington Hills, Ilene and Richard Harris of Flint, Nanci and Martin Hochroth of California; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Lawrence and Deborah Klein of Ohio; grandchildren, Caitlin and Julia Klein, Edward and Marisa Harris and Alexander Hochroth.
