She was a travel agency owner and longtime local actress. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts of New York City in 1944 and was a long-standing member of the Willoway Playhouse in Bloomfield Hills, where she played Bettie Toti many parts; she will be remembered for her role in Born Yesterday. Mrs. Toti started her career at the Erie Playhouse in Erie, Pa., where she met and married her husband of 51 years, Edward W. Toti. During her career she also starred as "Jingles," Santa's helper on Channel 4 in Detroit. She was also the drama coach at Roper Country Day School in Bloomfield Hills for many years and conducted local workshops for aspiring actors and actresses. After working in the travel agency community for many years, Mrs. Toti opened TLC Travel in Bingham Farms in 1974 and attended to the travel needs of many friends and business clients for 22 years. She retired from the travel industry in 1996. Mrs. Toti is survived by her husband, Edward Toti; daughters, Jami Toti of Novi, April Toti of Orange County, Calif. Mrs. Toti was the loving daughter of the late Ben Hyman and the late Dora Hyman; dear sister of the late Harold Hyman. Contributions may be made to the Jewish National Fund.
