JULIUS JONAS GUNSBERG, 90, of

Auburn Hills, died July 8. He was a
paper products manager at Midwest
Paper Products and Ben Craine
Associates, working until he was 86
years old. He also was an Army veteran
stationed in the Philippines and New
Guinea and received numerous medals.
Mr. Gunsburg is survived by his
daughters and sons-in-law, Vivien and
David Phillips of Troy, Linda and Dale
Fawkes of Livonia; son, Daniel
Gunsberg of Madison Heights; grand-
children, Ryan and Darin Fawkes, Janna
and Mark Phillips. He was the beloved
husband of the late Edith Gunsberg;
dear brother of the late Frank Gunsberg,
the late Margaret Goodman and the late
Alice Schulman.
Interment at Oakview Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the
American Heart Association.

HARRY HALLER, 74, of Van Nuys,

Calif., formerly of Detroit, died July 2.
He is survived by his sister, Fanny
Zuckerman of West Bloomfield; nieces
and nephews, Renee Dagher, Sherry and
Larry Sklar, Hanita Zuckerman, Sandra
and Mark Gorosh; cousins: Yetcha and
Hersh Brand of Del Ray, Fla., Lotcha
Moshenberg of Haifa, Israel; eight
grandnieces and grandnephews; one
great-niece.

ROBERT GOTTLIEB, 76, of

BESS MALAMUD HILLEL, 87, of

Southfield, formerly of Farmington
Hills, died July 3. He was born and
raised in Detroit and worked at George
V. Drug Store as a teenager. He was a
veteran of World War II. Mr. Gottlieb
worked as an expediter for Seal Rite
Paints and later for Budman Heating
and Cooling. Then he co-founded
Union Pools in the downriversarea.
Following that, he owned and operated
Shefield Smoke and Gift Shop in Troy.
Most recently, he managed the gift shop
at the Heatherwood assisted living facili-
ty in Southfield: He was a member of
B'nai David Synagogue for more than
30 years.
He is survived by his loving wife,
Thelma (Teddie); daughter and son-in-
law, Lee and Joel Simmer of West
Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Jay and Shirley Gottlieb of Hollywood,
Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman
and Vivian Gottlieb of Ann Arbor,
David (Brenda) Gottlieb of Woodland,
Texas, Harold and Sarah Gottlieb of
Birmingham; grandchildren, Joy
(Michael) Berkowitz, David Simmer,
Lori Gottlieb and Amy Gottlieb.
Interment at the Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.

Sacramento, Calif., died July 2. She was
the office manager of the Highland Park
Junior High School in Highland Park,
Mich., for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Reva
Malamud of Southfield; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Neil and Debra Hillel;
grandchildren, Benjamin and Amy
Hillel.
Interment in California.
