Bring Some W director's to Your hen I came to the Jewish News 2 1 /2 years ago as a graphic designer, I was amazed at the impact the newspaper had on the community. I'd never worked on a publication before where the readers felt such a sense of ownership and closeness to the product. I was later promoted to the Creative Director's position, where, in conjunction with Editor Carla Schwartz, we developed an idea to incorporate Style magazine, another great publication, into the newspaper. Thus, Style at the Jewish News was born. We are now well into our second season and still going strong. The com- munity has embraced this pub- lication in the same manner as our other products. It is with many fond memo- ries that I must now leave to pursue other endeavors, which will involve going back to the East Coast where I am a native. I am very excited about rejoin- ing my family, but I will always remember the good times I had here in Michigan, and particularly within this organization. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank every- one here who has supported my ideas and respected my opinions. In this issue of Style at the Jewish News, we feature new fall fashions, a great store design, vintage radios and two music- themed community events — perfect summer reading. Lastly, thanks to our readers who should expect nothing less than the highest quality publication befitting an outstanding community.
