HAROLD A. DIAMOND, 95, of
Southfield, died June 26.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Irene Diamond; brother and sister-in-
law, Lee and Alyce Diamond of
Southfield; nephews, Dr. Douglas
(Judy) Furman, Dennis (Carol)
Furman. Graveside services were held
at the Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice.

LAWRENCE GORODKIN, 67, of
Redlands, Calif., died June 11.
He is survived by his father, Philip
Gorodkin; sister, Elaine Gross of
Southfield; nieces and nephews, Bruce
and Miriam Rosen, Randl and Troy
Barbar, Amy Rosen.
Services and interment at Hebrew
Memorial Park. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

BEVERLY ROSE HUGO, 54, of
Portland, Maine, died June 18. An edu-
cator and motivational speaker, she lived
in Netanya, Israel, as a researcher in the
psychology department of Wingate
University. She was a member of
Kibbutz Gezer for seven years. She was
recently selected to represent the city of
Portland to its sister city, Shinagawa,
Japan.
At the age of 48, Ms. Hugo hiked
the entire Applachian Trail from
Georgia to Maine and wrote a book,
What Every Woman Needs to Know
About Long Distance Hiking on the
Appalachian Trail. She also appeared in
several episodes of the PBS series
"Trailside."
She is survived by her sisters,
Candace (Dr. Bernard) Alper of West
Bloomfield, Janice (Jeffrey) Martino and
Ruth Anne Hugo of Portland; brother,
Jay Hugo of Falmouth, Maine; one
niece; four nephews, including Dr.
Jason (Jennifer) Alper of Royal Oak and
Aaron Alper of west Bloomfield.
Interment in Evergreen Cemetery in
Portland. Contributions may be made
to the Maine Children's Cancer Fund,
295 Forest Ave., Portland, ME 04101
or to a charity of one's choice.

JEAN KOSS, 73, of West Bloomfield,
died June 26.
She is survived by her brothers and
sister-in-law, Howard and Judy Koss
of West Bloomfield, David Koss of
