executive director: a dynamic person with
proven administrative experience to provide
skilled management and strategic leadership to
the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers.

Production Director

The Detroit Jewish News is seeking a Print
Production Director. This member of the com-
pany leadership team will be responsible for a
creative and production staff of 12.
Departmental duties include design, layout and
pre-press functions for all weekly, monthly and
supplementary publications, marketing materi-
als, etc. As direct communicator to our contract-
ed commercial printers, the Production Director
will coordinate print scheduling and establish all
related deadlines. Corporate responsibilities
include the coordination and implementation of
efficient workflow strategy among multiple
locations. Applicants should have at least 5 years
publication production management experience
including staff career development, implementa-
tion of incentive plans, budget accountability
and a thorough understanding of conventional
and digital workflows. The ability to effectively
manage multiple projects simultaneously with
attention to quality and detail, as well as excel-
lent written and verbal communication skills, is
a must. Web production experience is beneficial.
