The Senior Summit Task Force and
the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners will be holding pub-
lic hearings to identify problems for
older adults and caregivers, such as
medicine, family care, income, legal,
housing and related issues.
Hearings will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 18, at the West
Bloomfield Township Hall, 4550
Walnut Lake Road; 6 p.m. Monday,
July 23, at the Huntington Woods
Recreation Center, 26325 Scotia
Ave.; and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday,
Aug. 15, at the Bloomfield Hills
Mature Minglers, 7273 Wing Lake
Road.
Oakland County Commissioners
Shelley Goodman Taub, R-
Bloomfield Hills, and Michelle
Friedman Appel, D-Huntington
Woods, are co-chairs of the task force
and will be on hand to address con-
cerns.
"It is not uncommon to have four
to five generations in one family alive
today. We need to hear and learn
from those families as to what their
needs are and plan accordingly," said
Taub. •
Following the public hearings, the
task force will initiate a Senior
Summit, to be held April 18-19,
2002, to identify community
resources.

new officers at the annual meeting
on June 6.
Officers elected were Arthur M.
Horwitz, president; Susie Citrin,
Susie Leemaster, vice presidents;
Gayle Burstein, treasurer; Dr. Joan
Lessen Firestone, secretary.
Paula Glazier, James L. Jonas,
Jeffrey Schlussel and Andrew Weil
were elected to the executive com-
mittee. Elected directors for a three-
year term were Linda Brodsky, Dr.
