He was a founding member of Temple Shir Shalom, member of the Order of Sons of Italy, Italian Study Group of Troy and the Troy Community Chorus. He is survived by his son and daugh- ter-in-law, Dr. Victor and Laura Sonnino; daughters, Dr. Roberta Sonnino of Kansas, Merryl Schwartz; grandchildren, Elana and Max Sonnino; brother and sister-in-law, Mario and Sylvana Sonnino of Connecticut.
